Meet Amisha Hockridge
Age 9
Microtia and Craniofacial Microsomia
Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan
Amisha’s friends and family describe her as an outgoing, fun, girly girl who loves “blingy” shoes, clothes and purses. Her uplifting personality is so inspiring, especially when you consider her difficult journey in life. Amisha was born with Microtia. Each case is different, but for Amisha this means she was born without her outer and middle right ear, her head was deformed, her spinal cord tethered, and one of her kidneys was performing at about 30 percent capacity. She has undergone reconstructive ear surgery, spinal surgery, and continues to have her kidney’s monitored to ensure that kidney failure does not affect her health.
Even though Amisha is partially deaf, she doesn’t let that obstacle hinder her love of singing and dancing. Performing in front of crowds with confidence, Amisha models her motto that you can do anything with the right attitude.
Amisha is thankful for her great healthcare providers.

Microtie et microsomie craniofaciale
Children’s Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan
